Accenture\u2019s sharp fall in share price is seen by many as a sign that artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the business model of traditional consultancy firms. What was considered a future scenario just a few years ago is now a reality: analyses, strategy papers, concepts, presentations and market studies are being produced with the help of AI at a speed and to a standard of quality that were previously almost unimaginable. Knowledge is increasingly becoming a freely available resource. However, this is not where the greatest threat lies \u2013 but rather the greatest opportunity.    <\/p>\n<p>For when knowledge is available at all times, the very nature of leadership changes fundamentally. In future, the value of a leader will no longer be measured by how many answers they know, but by the questions they ask. Not by how much information they possess, but by how they provide direction. Not by how efficiently they manage processes, but by how they inspire people, build trust and convey a sense of purpose.   <\/p>\n<p>We are therefore not merely facing a technological revolution. We are facing a paradigm shift. The past decades have been characterised by a knowledge economy in which information represented the decisive competitive advantage. The coming era will be characterised by a consciousness economy. In a world where artificial intelligence is increasingly thinking, calculating and analysing, the human element is becoming the decisive factor for success. Empathy, intuition, ethical judgement, empathy, self-reflection and the ability to support others through uncertainty and change cannot be automated. It is precisely these qualities that will become the most valuable resource for modern organisations.      <\/p>\n<p>Many companies are currently grappling with the question of which AI solutions they should adopt. The more important question, however, is: How do we develop leaders who can shape this new world? After all, technology changes processes \u2013 people change reality. No transformation begins with software, but with the mindset of those who take on responsibility. That is why, now more than ever, leadership means creating spaces where people can grow, take on responsibility and realise their potential.    <\/p>\n<p>This is precisely where holistic leadership comes into play. It views organisations not as machines, but as living systems. It combines business success with humanity, strategic clarity with emotional intelligence, innovation with awareness, and performance with purpose. It regards leadership not as a role, but as a relationship \u2013 with oneself, with other people, and with the challenges of an increasingly complex world.   <\/p>\n<p>Artificial intelligence will undoubtedly take on many tasks that are still part of the day-to-day work of consultants and managers today. It will analyse more quickly, forecast more accurately and work more efficiently. Yet it will never take on responsibility. It will not shape a culture, build trust or inspire people. That is precisely why the rise of artificial intelligence does not mark the end of good leadership, but rather the beginning of what may well be its most important era.    <\/p>\n<p>The future does not belong solely to companies with the most advanced technology. It belongs to those organisations that combine technology with humanity, complement data with wisdom, and shape innovation with awareness. Those who invest in the development of their leaders today are investing not only in skills, but also in the future viability of their entire organisation.  <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps that is precisely the most important message behind the current developments in the consultancy sector: artificial intelligence does not replace people.
